Hi everyone!! Happy Friday! I have been busy, busy, busy making lots of cards lately but I still wanted to squeeze this one in. I haven't participated in the Saturday Card Sketch Challenge with Kimber over at 2peas in awhile so I wanted to make sure to do it this week. I love participating in the challenges so it was time to get to it!
This is the sketch our cards were to be based off of this week:

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge: May 14-20th

Paper Smooches is now doing their challenges weekly instead of bi-weekly. Which means more fun ways to participate and create with their super cute stamps. Each week brings about a different kind of challenge...this week is the Designer Drafts Challenge. This is the sketch that we were to draw inspiration from for our projects:

I went through my Paper Smooches stamps and decided on this big "thanks" sentiment, perfect for coloring. And the lines on the sketch screamed "twine" to me. So here is what I came up with:

Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; Divine Twine - Cherry & Orange; Doodlebug Doodle Twine - Bright Assortment; Jillibean Soup Bean Stalks Blue/Green Twine; X-Press it Cardstock; Memento Ink - Tuxedo; Copics: R24, R29, YR12, YR16, Y00, Y02, G02, G05, B21, B23, BG01, BG05; Buttons - Misc.

A fun, simple, happy card. And surprise!...a rainbow color scheme!! Just can't seem to get off of this kick!

Here is a closer look at the Paper Smooches "Chit Chat" stamp set I used:

The deadline for this challenge is May 20th...still lots of time to play along! Thanks for looking!

It's monthly challenge time at Unity Stamp Co!

Brads & Butterflies

I created this card for the My Mind's Eye Challenge - use brads in a fun, unique and creative way.

MME Supplies Used (Lost & Found 2 Collectons): Pattern Paper - Breeze "Precious" Motif Paper, Sunshine "Lovely" Plaid Paper, Sunshine "Memories" Sweet Paper, Sunshine "Lovely" Sewing Paper; Brads - "Breeze" Everywhere, "Breeze" Precious, "Sunshine" Forever, "Sunshine" Sunshine
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; Crafts Too Butterfly Embossin Folder; EK Success/Stampin Up Scallop Edge Punch; Kaisercraft Black Lace; Sentiment by Stampin Up; Martha Stewart Punches - Classic Butterfly & Classic 3-in-1 Butterfly

I have created a couple of cards similar to this one...lovin' the design (which was originally a card lift from Danni Reid). On the last card I made I used buttons on the centers of the butterflies and as I was making it I thought..."how cute would this look with brads in the centers??" Perfect for this challenge.

Thanks for looking:)

The Rainbow Connection for Friends with Flair Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!
I have a thing for bright, happy colors (if you haven't noticed)...so it will be no surprise to see them show up in my designs again and again. Here are some recent cards I made. I saved them all for this post because they all had a common theme...rainbow.

FRIENDSHIP IS THE RAINBOW....
I was playing with one of my newer Itty Bitty's - I hadn't used it yet. It's just so cute! I LOVE this rainbow!
This is a really quick and simple card for me but I really do like how it turned out. I had to leave it overnight to be sure...my usual style kept wanting me to add "more", but I couldn't figure out what?! So I decided to leave it.

Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; My Mind's Eye 6X6 Paper Pads - Lime Twist (Fly A Kite & Out Of the Blue) & On the Bright Side (One); Fiskar Cloud Punches; Ranger Archival Ink; Ippity by Unity Stamp Co - Friendship Rainbow

A closer look at this adorable itty bitty stamp!

HELLO HELLO & HELLO
This next card resulted from me playing with the new MAY Unity Stamp Co Kit of the Month - Love in An Instant. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set! So many cute images! I can't wait to play more....

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co May KOM - Love in an Instant; Bazzill Cardstock; My Mind's Eye 6X6 Paper Pads - Lime Twist (Fly A Kite & Out Of the Blue) & On the Bright Side (One); EK Success/Stampin' UP - Three Hearts Punch; Fiskars Cloud Punches

A close up on my clouds....I am in love with using textured white cardstock for different elements on my cards (this design element has definately been inspired by the talented Danni Reid. I adore her style and this is something she does alot).

SHINE
Another fun one...I was trying to create a card a bit more on the masculine side....somehow I ended up bright and cheery again! Ha! Oh well...I still like it!

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co April KOM - Follow Your Own; Bazzill Carstock; My Mind's Eye 6X6 Paper Pads - Lime Twist (Fly A Kite & Out Of the Blue) & On the Bright Side (One); X-Press It Cardstock; Memento Ink - Tuxedo; Copics - B00, B00, Y2; Stardust Stickles by Ranger; Buttons & Hemp - Misc

Release Day at Unity!!!

Everyone at Unity is super excited about the release today!! So many fabulous images!! I've had the chance to play with some of these brand new beauties....and as usual Unity did an amazing job!! Lovin' them all!!! Be sure to stop by Unity and check them all out up close!! You will be drooling!!

PHYLLIS HARRIS

This is the first time I have worked with Phyllis Harris' designs. They are so beautiful...and cute...if they can be both at the same time? I had fun playing with my Copics (I say playing because I am really new at Copics still) on these sweet images. Once I had all my coloring done it was easy to put my cards together using Phyllis' beautiful designs as a focal point. Plus I really love her sentiments. While I do adore many of these wonderful stamp sets, "every breath" (PH-947A Every Breath) is my favorite from this release. I made two cards to share with you.

EVERY BREATH IS A GIFT

I love curling down one of my corners...I think it adds a sweet little detail and a bit of texture to the overall look.

I paper-pieced her dress so it would look more like fabric.

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co - PH-947A Every Breath; Bazzill Cardstock; Basic Grey Picadilly-Breakfast Nook; My Minds Eye Quite Contrary - Little Boy Blue "That's My Boy" Daring Dots Paper; Maya Road Rose Trim; X-Press It Cardstock; Memento Ink - Tuxedo: Copics - B01, B00, B000, B0000, E01, E00, E23, E25, E29, R20, C3, C1, YG11, YG61, YG63; Flowers by Prima; Kaisercraft Pearls; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo; Photo Corners - Misc.

SENDING BLESSINGS YOUR WAY

I put the sentiment on the inside of the card.

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co - PH-947A Every Breath; Bazzill Cardstock; Basic Grey Sweet Threads 6X6 Paper Pad; Divine Twine - Green Apple; X-Press it Cardstock; Memento Ink - Tuxedo; Copics - RV10, RV02, RV0000, E01, E00, E23, E25, E29, R20, C3, C1, YG11, YG61, YG63; Spellbinders - Classic Ovals; American Craft Crochet Trim; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo; Pink Lace, Photo Corners & Buttons - Misc

WILL A KISS MAKE IT BETTER?

For this card I used the "First Love" set (PH-949A First Love). I was inspired by the little overalls this girl was wearing....they just screamed denim to me.

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co -PH-949A First Love; Bazzill Cardstock; October Afternoon Sasparilla - Giddy Up, Dash Dalton, Rustler; Copics - B000, B21, B23, B25, E01, E00, E23, E25, E29, R20, C3, C1, YG11, YG61, YG63, R24, R29, R39, W00; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo; EK Success Scallop Edge Punch; October Afternoon Sasparilla Buttons; Hemp Twine - Misc.

But there's more!!! Also being released today.....
